LeadJaw identifies the companies visiting your website and shows you where they came from, what they viewed and how engaged they are. These pages cover how that works in practice for specific industries and use cases.
Show clients which named companies their campaigns are reaching. Turn anonymous B2B traffic into source-attributed company lists and warm lead reports.
See which named businesses are visiting your pricing page, browsing your features and coming back for a second look. Turn anonymous B2B traffic into a prioritised list of warm accounts your sales team can reach out to.
Law firms, accountancies and consultancies attract serious B2B buyers who research before they commit. Identify the named companies in that research phase and give your BD team a list of warm prospects to act on.
How website visitor identification works across industries
Every B2B website receives company traffic that never converts on the first visit. The pattern is consistent regardless of industry: a business lands on your site, reads two or three pages and leaves without making contact. In Google Analytics that visit is a session. In LeadJaw it is a named company with a visit history, a traffic source and an engagement signal.
The underlying technology is the same across every sector. LeadJaw matches each visitor's IP address to a company using a combination of IP classification data, ASN records and firmographic enrichment. The result is a company name, sector, size, location and the full session history attached to it. What changes between industries is how teams use that information and which signals matter most.
A SaaS sales team watches for companies returning to the pricing page. A marketing agency tracks which campaigns are reaching named businesses on behalf of clients. A law firm looks for companies that have read a specific practice area page more than once. The data is the same; the workflow built around it differs.
Which businesses benefit most from visitor identification
LeadJaw works best for B2B businesses that sell to other businesses and have a sales or business development function. The common thread across every industry that uses it is a gap between website traffic and pipeline visibility.
That gap tends to be largest in industries with a long sales cycle, a high average contract value or a considered purchase decision. When a prospect spends weeks researching before making contact, the research phase that happens on your website is commercially valuable and almost entirely invisible without a tool like LeadJaw.
Businesses in technology, professional services, manufacturing, logistics, recruitment and financial services all share this pattern. More industry pages covering those sectors are being added here as they are published.
What visitor identification does not do
LeadJaw identifies the company associated with a visit, not the individual making it. It works by matching IP addresses to business networks, which means it is most effective for traffic arriving from office connections and corporate infrastructure. Visitors on consumer broadband, mobile data or VPNs will not resolve to a named business.
For most B2B websites, somewhere between 20 and 40 percent of sessions will identify to a named company. The rest appear as unidentified traffic, which LeadJaw still captures with full session data so you can see pages viewed, source and timing even when the company is unknown.
LeadJaw does not identify individuals and does not process personal data at the point of identification, which keeps it straightforward to deploy under UK GDPR. All data is processed and stored on UK servers.
