This policy explains how AppJaw Ltd t/a LeadJaw uses cookies on www.leadjaw.com and within the client LeadJaw platform at app.leadjaw.com.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences and to provide information to website owners.
Website Cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function and are set automatically. They do not require your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). You can block or delete them through your browser settings, but doing so may prevent the website or platform from working correctly.
- Session cookie -- keeps you logged in during your visit to the admin area. Expires when you close your browser.
- CSRF token -- protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Expires when you close your browser.
Functional cookies
These cookies remember your preferences to improve your experience.
- Theme preference - remembers your light or dark mode selection. Expires after 12 months.
Analytics cookies
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. If enabled, Google Analytics sets cookies to collect anonymised data about pages visited, time spent and referral sources. No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies within the LeadJaw platform
The LeadJaw dashboard uses a session cookie to keep you logged in while you use the platform. This cookie is strictly necessary and does not require your consent under PECR. You can delete it through your browser settings, but doing so will log you out of the platform.
The LeadJaw tracking script
When a LeadJaw client installs our script on their website, the script processes the IP address of each visitor to identify the visiting company.
When a visitor lands on a website using the LeadJaw tracking script, their IP address is collected and we attempt to match it against business network data. IP addresses that resolve to residential, mobile or consumer connections do not produce a match and no data about those visits is returned to the client dashboard. Those visitors are recorded as anonymous.
If you are visiting a website that uses LeadJaw and you have questions about how that website processes your data, please refer to that website's own privacy policy. For more information about how LeadJaw handles data see our Privacy Policy and GDPR and Data Privacy page.
Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will affect the functionality of the website and platform. The following links explain how to manage cookies in common browsers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
